George, a friend of mine, is a wonderful father to his baby daughter, but he often turns to his wife, Joyce, for advice on the more motherly baby-care issues. Recently, Joyce was busy getting ready to go shopping when George poked his head in to ask, "What should I feed Jane for lunch?"

"That's up to you," Joyce replied. "There's all kinds of food. Why don't you pretend I'm not at home?"

A few minutes later, Joyce's cell phone rang. She answered it to hear George on the other phone, "Yeah, hi, Honey. Uh...what should I feed Jane for lunch?"

Is Jesus with you, to help you in your circumstances?

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. -Psalms 46:1

But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. -Isaiah 43:1
